Friends,
Your House and Safety & Security Committee's are working hard to get ahead of the issues we've been having this winter with mice, rats, and raccoons getting into the house, but we need your help! As the warmer weather approaches the problem will increase unless we as a club work together. To that end, moving forward, please consider the following:
- Do not store food in any space other than the kitchen. If you have things in the kitchen, please store them in the refrigerator or in an air-tight container.
- Please try not to eat and leave wrapper, crumbs, etc. behind. It will attract vermin.
- This should go without saying, but please put your trash in trash cans, and if the cans are full, put the full bag in the outside cans near the gate for trash pick-up. You can also put your trash in a plastic shopping bag and take it with you to be disposed of, instead of leaving it for others to handle.
Mice, rats, and even raccoons can carry disease, and we don't need it in the spaces we enjoy, or on the floors or surfaces we sit, stretch, and relax on. Most importantly, we don't need someone getting sick.
