This is everyone's annual reminder to close doors and windows in the spaces you are using before you leave. If you find things open and no one there, close and secure them.
As fall starts to fade toward winter, heating systems are working overtime wasting club resources. Rain blowing in degrades and rots wood. And cold weather and discarded food wrappers draw trash pandas inside. Racoons are cute, but they are messy, can carry disease, and are tripping the alarm system at night prompting a response from MPD, who really dislike nightly false alarms. They will eventually start charging us fees for regular false alarms and those fees will come from the funds we use to keep the house looking nice, or for running events and programs we all enjoy.
Please do your part and go the extra mile: close doors and windows in unused spaces, even if you didn't use them. If you see trash or drink bottles lying around, put them in trash cans with secure lids. Pay special attention to the the weight room doors and windows (and adjacent "shed") which are the most common locations for our furry visitors to explore.
Thanks for your help!
